Aarif Mohiedeen
Aarif is a Canadian-born, hockey-loving, running addict that comes from a large family with
parents that immigrated from Iraq. He spent a majority of his upbringing in Detroit before trading the gloomy Midwest winters for Colorado’s sunshine. His cultural roots have him cooking up the best Mediterranean cuisines you’ll find in Denver while listening to his favorite Arabic music hits. When he’s not at Rumble, you can find him in the Ball Arena press box covering Avalanche games as a sports journalist or on a trail somewhere racking up those miles. When Aarif was 22, he ran 300 total miles over 30 consecutive nights – topped off with a full marathon on the 30th night that began at 1 a.m. and stretched until sunrise. His favourite quote is, “I love running because punching people is frowned upon,” and that's basically why he fits right in at Rumble.
