Kari
Kari Mckillip is a born and raised Cali girl (Anaheim… hey Disney;) but she spent 13 years in the big Apple - NYC!
She trained in all styles of dance and was a competitive dancer from age 5 to 18. She then moved to NYC to complete her undergrad in Theater from Hunter College.
She has traveled and performed as a dancer and actor on off Broadway stages and theaters such as The Barclay Center and The Producers Club.
As a girl who never had the “typical dancer body” Kari had to find what worked for her to make her feel confident. Her journey in fitness started when she was 22 and completed her AFAA certification. She had a passion for helping people through group fitness and started teaching cardio kick boxing and Zumba.
In 2011 she started working for Equinox fitness clubs in NYC and was able to grow with the company by teaching multiple modalities. This lead to being a program lead for Equinox signature formats and was featured on Goodmorning America with her colleagues.
Kari lived around the corner from the original Rumble Boxing studio that opened in Chelsea NYC in 2017. She would take classes as often as she could and was so inspired, dreaming that one day she would work for the company.
Flash forward to 2023, she was able to audition for Rumble Boxing Newport Beach and Long Beach! It has been a full circle moment for her.
When you take Kari’s class, you’re going to feel a surge of inspiration and encouragement with a sprinkle of badassery! She will always correct your form (probably be shaking her booty in class) and likes to give individual attention even in a room full of packed energy.
When you create opportunities to get out of your comfort zone, you will see how worth the fight is! 🥊
