Some call her Bernie, some call her B. Either way, she’s a G. Bay Area born and bred, Bernie is a true hyphy girl at heart—sweet with a side of swag! Growing up in a Filipino household, her parents instilled the importance of having both book and street smarts at a young age. She swam competitively growing up until she packed her bags at 18 and moved to NYC where she later graduated with a Bachelor’s from St. John’s University. She brought that New York hustle back to the West Coast (this time to LA), put on her first pair of gloves, and started kickboxing. A few years later, Bernie circled back to her Bay Area roots where she took her first Rumble class and seriously started her fitness journey while enrolled in grad school. (Let’s just say, throwing those punches helped her persevere through the stresses of a one-year Global MBA program). Mix her fire playlists with her infinite source of energy and it’s a wrap. If she’s not breaking out in dance or hyping you up in class, you can find your girl relaxing at a spa or bussing down over a great meal. Mad balance you know? That’s just B.
